Onshore Civil Geotech

The onshore Civil Geotech team at AG comprises experienced geotechnical engineers, analysts and engineering geology professionals.  The team was developed in 2010 to compliment the well established AG offshore concern by providing independent, specialist Civil Geotech consultancy services in the near-shore and onshore areas.

Areas of activity include design and constructability review for wharf and jetty structures in water depths of less than 20 m, oil and gas sector shore crossing schemes, scope optimisation for near and onshore site investigations and the design of permanent and temporary ground retention, slope stabilisation, deep foundation and ground improvement measures.

Further work to producing integrated engineering geological reports, primarily for near and onshore oil and gas projects, has enabled AG to present comprehensive geological modeling that compiles information from geotechnical, geophysical, geological, hydro-geological, geo-environmental, geo-spatial (analysis and visualisation), GIS and laboratory testing investigations.

The Civil-Geotech team comprises engineers and geologists from diverse backgrounds and extensive construction industry experience in WA, Australia wide and around the globe.

The team focuses on the provision of geotechnical engineering consultancy services in areas such as:

  • Identification of optimum solutions to geo-critical construction challenges
  • Value engineering
  • Provision of analysis and design solutions issued for construction
  • Shallow foundation design
  • Pile and deep foundation design
  • Design of ground improvement schemes.
  • Pile drivability assessment and testing
  • Ground retention
  • Slope stabilisation
  • Peer review
  • Independent verification
  • Expert witness work
  • Forensic engineering
