Queensland Curtis Liquefied Natural Gas Project

AG worked with QGC to gather and integrate all the available geotechnical, geological and geophysical data. This resulted in the most thorough understanding of the geology along the export pipeline route, especially where it crosses the mainland coast, traverses “The Narrows” channel and climbs onto Curtis Island. This represented the first step in overcoming the considerable geotechnical challenges posed by the site, which included the softest of marine sediments and hardest of metamorphic rocks in close proximity, and the presence of significant geological faults.
