With near perfect conditions, the competitors from AG once again performed admirably in the Avon Descent, a marathon paddling race, which is one of the most testing sporting events that Perth has to offer. Only two weeks prior to the event, the low water levels were causing some concern amongst the paddlers, but the rains came in the nick of time, making it a great weekend for the competitors and spectators alike. Our entrants, Ian and Stuart, were toward to front of the fleet, coming in 6th and 8th in their respective divisions.
AG is a company that values and supports the integration of its personnel in the wider community and their growth in areas outside of work. AG encourages and supports staff in their pursuits in and out of work. With any luck, in 2012 there will be even more Avon Descent entrants from Advanced Geomechanics.
